I normally don’t go on these rants but with a recent turn of events its just weighing too heavily on my mind. Hate does not make you a stronger person. To put others down and shun a person out because they are different than how you expected is not a way to make them how you want. Love is the quality of the strong and hate the quality of the weak. It is the easiest thing in the world to accept misunderstanding and live in that state without a need to change. What takes strength is facing misunderstanding and pushing yourself to face WHY. It is everyone’s choice to take whatever path they may but, in light of recent events I have to say I’ve been disappointed by the people of this day and age. I thought that we had made progress to love a person for the quality of their character, not a label placed on them by society. I realized I have been wrong. But, I want to thank those who have proved different than the standard. Who have pushed themselves to understand, who have worked to be an ally and overall who have loved those in your life unconditionally. Thank you for being a fighter.
